They participated in an event against many public schools in Atlanta. The purpose was to develop a plan in an hour on how we could promote health and well being in our students to improve focus and health. Emily Hall, Katie O'Kelley, and Sarah Hensley won $1000 out of 30 teams!! Their pitch was to use the money to buy weight room equipment for students not involved in sports to become physically fit. Also offering yoga, cross fit, Zumba, etc. for students in the room
Ashton Penton, a Spalding High school 11th grader at the time of the competition, won 1st place at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference. She competed in the creative showpiece skill event, creating a beautiful set of apple baskets. After her outstanding performance, she won $100 for 1st place prize.


Chloe Holtzapfel (on the left), a Spalding High school sophomore, moved on from Region star events for Career Investigation, to State. From there she moves on to Nationals in June 2019. Nasya Gilbert (on right), also moved on from the Region star event: Focus on Children, to state.

Abbie (on the left), was a Spalding High school FCCLA 12th grader. Marly (on the right), was a 10th grader. Both students worked dilligently on the chapter website. It all paid off when they were informed they made it to Nationals in Anehime, California!
